Or was Amber’s blood sister and a founding spirit of Isindile Sanctuary. Although they lived separately at Seaview Predator Park and were reportedly hostile to one another, we believed in the hope that one day they could share peace together.

When Or arrived at Isindile, we built enclosures with a shared fence and gate in the hope that they could be reunited. Sadly, after only three months at the sanctuary, Or was diagnosed with advanced liver cancer and had to be humanely laid to rest.

During her brief time here, Or became known as the Spirit of Isindile, quietly watching over the sanctuary and inspiring our mission to provide refuge and care for rescued big cats.

Though Or is no longer with us, her protective spirit continues to guide Isindile Sanctuary. Your donation to the Legacy Fund helps provide lifelong care, rescue, and sanctuary for the big cats who call Isindile home — carrying forward the legacy Or helped create.
